Craig Breen is an Irish rally driver born on February 2, 1990, in Waterford, Ireland. He began his motorsport career at a young age and quickly made a name for himself in the rallying world.
Breen started competing in national and international rallies in 2007, driving a Ford Fiesta ST. In 2009, he won the Fiesta SportTrophy Ireland and was awarded the prestigious Billy Coleman Award for his performances. He then moved on to compete in the Intercontinental Rally Challenge (IRC) and the European Rally Championship (ERC).
In 2012, Breen suffered a personal tragedy when his best friend and co-driver, Gareth Roberts, died in a crash during the Targa Florio rally in Italy. Despite this setback, Breen continued to compete and achieved some of his best results in the years that followed.
In 2015, Breen won the ERC title with Peugeot, winning four rallies in the process. He then moved on to compete in the World Rally Championship (WRC) with the Citroën team. He achieved his first podium finish in the WRC at the Rally Finland in 2016 and has since scored several top-five finishes.
Off the track, Breen is known for his down-to-earth personality and love of sports. He is an avid fan of soccer and Gaelic football and has also competed in triathlons. He is also a supporter of various charitable causes and has raised money for cancer research and other organizations.
